This notice explains what personal information AV Modern Bathrooms collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It covers this website, the enquiries you send us and the work we carry out for customers.

Who we are

AV Modern Bathrooms is the trading name of AV MODERN BATHROOMS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15525044). Our registered office is 69-71 Higher Parr Street, St Helens, WA9 1AD, and our showroom is at 69 Higher Parr Street, St Helens, Merseyside, WA9 1AD. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

Enquiry and quote details: your name, email address, phone number, address and town, how you would like us to contact you, and what you tell us about your bathroom, when you fill in a form on this website, call, email or message us.
Customer and job details: the property address, survey notes, measurements, photos of the room, product choices, quotations, invoices and payment records, and our correspondence about the job.
Website usage information: if you accept analytics or marketing cookies, information about how you use the site, such as the pages you view, the device and browser you use and an approximate location based on your IP address.
Technical and security information: your IP address and browser details, used to keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.

We do not ask for special category information. If you tell us about a health condition because it affects the design of an accessible bathroom, we use it only to plan your bathroom and only with your agreement.

How we use it and our lawful basis

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quotation: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To carry out, manage and guarantee the work: performance of our contract with you.
To keep accounting, tax and other business records: legal obligation.
To measure how the website is used and to show and measure our advertising, using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google AdSense and the Meta Pixel: your consent, which you give or refuse through the cookie banner.
To protect the website and our forms from spam and misuse: our legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed with:

the companies that host and run this website and our email, and the other IT and customer-management services we use to run the business;
suppliers we order products from for your job, so that they can deliver them;
Google, for Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads and AdSense where you have accepted those cookies, and for Google Maps and the address look-up on our forms, which receive the text you type and your IP address;
Meta, for the Meta Pixel, where you have accepted marketing cookies;
hCaptcha, which checks form submissions for spam;
our accountants and professional advisers, and authorities such as HMRC where the law requires it.

Some of these providers, including Google and Meta, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK’s international transfer safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If you become a customer, we keep job records for the length of the guarantee and for as long as we need them for our legal, tax and accounting obligations, which is usually six years after the end of the financial year in which the work was done. Analytics information is kept in line with the retention settings of the services named above.

Cookies

Cookies that are not essential, including analytics and advertising cookies, are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings on the site. Our cookie policy lists the cookies we use.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for it to be transferred to another organisation, and to withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent. Some of these rights only apply in certain circumstances. To make a request, contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We will update this notice if the way we use personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
